i don't necessarily think that gratitude is incompatible with a sense a drive to improve our nation and our culture. Gratitude for what is good is a foundation to build from. A so, ye, i've just seen a, a complete lack of gratitude as being an engine of anger. And i've seen it a lot on the right. I know it exists on the left as well. Ye. Well, il tell you the version on the left. But first, ot, i moing to give youa as, which is the new way i've been describing myself,. Which i think, i think the twu oe you're gong to like a lot.

This week Eboo Patel, a Muslim pioneer in interfaith work, joins David and Curtis to discuss his book, We Need to Build. They discuss the need to allow people of different faiths to be able to bring their whole selves, including real and significant religious disagreements, to these conversations. Eboo also helps us understand why it is so important to do more than criticize what we don’t like in the culture, but instead to adopt the more mature approach of actually building what we want to see in society.
