The Rise of Aristotelianism in the Dark Ages
The dark ages were a time in the west when philosophy didn't have much going on. Most people think it can be entirely attributed to the dominance of christianity at the time. But aristotle played just as big a role in the stagnation of the dark ages as christianity did, maybe even more.
