A protacan used catalytically can be re cycled and used over and over again. So the requirement on affinity isn't, isn't as high. It has to be reasonably specific but there are other factors besides binding that impact whether or not a protect will work. Even fairly subtle differences in how that complex form can lead to dramatic differences in the rate at which ubiquinon is transferred.
