There's a long history of hairy giants or hairy beings causing harm to mankind throughout native american folklore. These daysa modern audiences are almost occulturated to expect something like harry and the hendersons, with a sweet, lovable, gigantic o pety bear an ewalk on super steroids. In native lore, that's not always the case. There were, as you pointed out, there are large thereare some of these large, hairy people of the forest, and there are very small ones. And the small ones along some of some of the canadian coast we carry these magical sticks. They would take the sticks and they would hit trees with them and knock the trees
