The Importance of Observing Humans in UX

UX should be about removing as many steps from between what you're trying to achieve and actually achieving it. A lot of the work that goes into it is observing them and understanding their pains and pleasures. And then drawing your conclusions from that and not from what they're actually telling you word by word. The right answer will never come out of a consumer's mouth.
