i've been picking up james lang's second edition of small teaching, and this is something that came out to me. He talks about in the book, you now, practising for himself, the difference it has made for him practising talks that he's going to give to different universities. So thinking about extending the audience on a continuum, we can start small. Just by having even a made up audience, that will give us a little bit of an opportunity to practise. i have done something as small as inviting a few local people from the community to come in and give authentic feedback.
