Christ's Presence Is the Mean of a Two or Three People in Agreement

Deuteronomy 19 15 states, a single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offence that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses, shall a charge be established. So jesus is referencing the structure that god has already put in place for discerning justice among his people. And this is why the next verse says, for where two or three have gathered together in my name, i am there in their midst. Jesus is also making an amazing claim about his divinity.
