The Evolution of Great Expectations
Great expectations is a library that lets you test your data with other people's great expectations. It was originally designed to be used in the context of pandas and Python, but now it can work on all major databases. The project has also expanded into new areas such as profiling for real-time analysis.

Summary
Data pipelines are complicated and business critical pieces of technical infrastructure. Unfortunately they are also complex and difficult to test, leading to a significant amount of technical debt which contributes to slower iteration cycles.
