Cancel Culture in the Western World?

I think the reductionism, which so often accompanies materialism, is a really impoverished way of looking at things. It's not even internally consistent. The idea that we should punish somebody for something they put on Twitter 10 years ago is really childish. If you were to understand cognitive behavioral therapy and want to make people unhappy, unresilient and unsuccessful, then vocationism is basically the philosophy you teach people. We can hear into that more or we can just point people to coddling the American mind by Jonathan Hight.
