Buying USO Oil Futures
I wanted to play the bounce in oil prices and it didn't work out so well for me. I think depending on where you bought it, maybe you've gotten at least some of that back because it has been going up a bit since the last few weeks. But yeah, the same way that VIX ETPs actually reflect an underlying portfolio of VIX futures buying USO reflects owning a long position in WTI futures.
