I've always heard that kids don't play end games so well, but against seniors I feel like might be true. John Nunn has commented on that as well because he's played these very kind of sharp E4 lines lots of theory and he also he likes playing their senior events where he can play whatever lines he likes and it's not so bad. These days a lot of the children around similar age to Mike is say they no longer really enjoy playing the junior tournaments as much for variety.
