The idea of tapestry is linked to this need for world conquest. The tenistry model comes out of that, because if you just pickt the oldest son there's no guarantee he has the natural ability to be a great conqueror. So i think that was the logic of tenistry. But as you said, both caused problems in practice. I mean it, you know, fratricide, all sorts of pinodon all the way to the ottomans to the mogals,. they use these types of practices.
