UX is the art of persuading users to buy your product. Alan Cooper's talk appealed to me so much because it was very much in language I had a few slides around. He talked about how the oil industry and the food have developed over the years but they weren't evil to begin with, he said. But they have become evil for some stuff they produce and sell. And I'm just afraid we are heading in the same direction.
