Overdoing anything is typically a trama response from a deep fear of rejection or abandonment. Examples include over explain, over achieving, over preparing. It's really become a word that's casually thrown around, literally tramatizing. And in some cases, it's even kind of being used as a joke.
Psychologists are worried that "trauma" is losing its meaning. A trauma survivor says they shouldn't be.
