Hoover's Influence on American Politics

The FBI's law enforcement role is a lot less controversial than its political intelligence role or at least was at the time. Hoover shaped practically every aspect of American politics from the 50s through the 70s no social movement in the United States had its history unaltered by the FBI and that was well for his image to put a point on it if Hoover wasn't thing. We created reforms in some ways looking at the battle days but we're still facing some of the same problems right?
