In the nineties, physicist roger penrose and stuart hammeroff came up with a theory that they called orchestrated objective reduction theory or ork o r. They hypothesized that this quantom business happens in micro tubles, which are these tiny polemes found in all our cells. But as one neuro scientist's even lorrys, says in our story, it would be dogmatic to say that this is not worth looking at. So, of course, the onis is on the people who came up with the theory to come up with evidence to support it. And that's what they've done with these experiments using anaesthetics. We don't really know how they work
