Leading reformers immigrated to enjoy the welcoming embrace of England. Peter Vamele arrived in 1547 and became a professor of divinity at Oxford. He engaged in disputations over the Eucharist, attacking doctrine of real presence. Two years later Martin Busse came from Strasbourg and took a professorship at Cambridge. His last two years of his life there defended the Protestant view on grace and justification.
