The History of the Church in England

St. Bead was a monk in the 12th century who wrote a history of England. He wanted to evangelize his country and inspire people to get deeds. His writings are so well known that he was made a doctor of the church by the 13th Century. It's still considered one of the greatest works of history of all time.
