What Marshal McLuan Meant
Marshal mc luan was an english literature professor for his entire career. He came to the conclusion that all our technologies are basically extensions of ourselves, and they all have the same or similar properties to our languages. So it makes sense that somebody who's an expert in languages and what we do with them would understand a lot about the effects of technologies if they understand the effects of language and literature.
