The Relationship Between Daniel Webster and Sarah Goodridge
Sarah Goodridge and Daniel Webster were friends for decades. They met in Boston, probably because he's coming in to sit for a portrait for her. There are just about 40 short notes that Webster sent to Goodridge between 1827 and 1851. The openings of those letters do hint that that relationship gets closer over time.
