The Origins of Magic in Ancient Egypt
Egypt is a pretty interesting place as far as it's long tenured, obviously, well over 2000 years of dynasties. What you have is the mixing of Babylonian astrology with with Egyptian Decanic astrology. You've got things like the Greek magical papayri in which there's very obvious elements of astrological timings along with when to do certain rituals. There's other ways of understanding how magic in astrology played a part in these people's lives.
