Is the PCA for an Individual With an Opioid Use Disorder?

When someone has an opioid tolerance is on a MOUD, they're going to need higher doses of the PCA too. I think you should use the PCA for a patient, an individual who has opioid use disorder in the exact same situation as if he or she didn't have one. If we aren't controlling their pain, we're putting them at risk of prematurely leaving the hospital and supplementing with other substances.
