In a buddhist philosophy, the what we think of as a person diachronically is actually a causal series. A causal series being a series, being made up of dis i discreet elements from one moment to the next Is, likewise, a conceptual fiction. Mereological nehalism kicks in once again. And so the series is useful. I mean, what's prudential rationality all about? It's about trying to prevent bad things from happening in the future of this series.
