As I've got older, I've really found my influences in the other art forms. It's odd because we don't expect visual artists to keep doing the same painting over and over again. The Crack Up is a manic, kind of post-ponky new wave song - which could have been a song from one of the bands I was in when I was before the Smoots. This record has come out as being all part of this sort of musical journey,. but hopefully it's got hints of where I can go out next as well.
