The biggest shock I had when I was writing the book was the retirement crisis and how it doesn't really exist. If you just invested in a 60-40 portfolio, 60% stock, 40% bond, you're more likely to end up with four times your wealth than you are to be below your principal value after 30 years. It's just a shock to people that they think, oh, I'm going to go into retirement and run out of money. But no, your wealth's going to keep building probably.
