Ethically Significant Actions
In more recent times, we have learned to hedge against the often ill consequences of making arbitrary snap decisions. A decision gains ethical significance in part due to the fact that it reflects a commitment to a particular vision of what counts as a good life. Ethically significant actions aim at goods that matter to us because of their role in what we take the point of our lives to be.
