i would find an opportunity to get to know this person where work pressures are gone. Ask lots of questions, but don't ask like an armchair o psychologist. Your manager should be aware of the effect this is having on the team. If they're not already aware, then it's fine to tell them. They could have some helpful advice on how to deal with it. But i don't think you can say like and they will change. Bes it's up to them.
