The Importance of Consistent Tonometers in Clinical Practice
Evidence has emerged that prostaglandin analogs can affect the corneal hysteresis and they can actually lead to a reduction inhysteresis. I suppose one of the important points is that we need to be consistent as well with what we're measuring and how we're measuring it. If you're having a patient who every single visit has been measured with a Goldman tonometer and then you switch to another device that could have potential issues.
