Is It Possible to Stop the Spread of the Virus With Lockdowns?

Studies have shown a strong correlation between locke downs and mortality. But it's difficult to say which one of those individual restrictions had the mosti because it's very difficult to say whether those behaviours would have changed otherwise. I am struck by the fact that when lock down, clearly must stop the spread of the virus. But i could imagine that in the long run, they don't really make much difference, because they just postpone the spread. And maybe over the long hall, over a year or over two years, it doesn't make any difference. Is there a case for believing that model of the world? We'll be back next we and until then, good bye.
