Introduction
Last month we looked at ambulance response times in England during December 2022. We now have the data for January and as you may have heard on the news, the picture is very different. Back in December, the mean average time it took ambulance call handlers to pick up a phone was 88 seconds,. In January, this came down to 9 seconds. The Daily Mail suggests that nurses aren't so badly paid compared to their European counterparts. And what do we learn from comparing the pay of nurses in the UK to elsewhere in Europe?
