California was long believed to be an island. The Delta brought so much silt down with it that the, the silt of the Delta actually ended up being the thing that separated the valley from the ocean. And for those listening, the Joshua tree that we were referring to is up high above Palm Springs. It's up in a, in a mountainous area, close by car but far in terms of ecosystem.
