The Vertical Dilemma

Tai wan: The vertical doesn't exclude deep degrees of embodiment. One can be deeply present to the phenomenal, and yet still be on that vertical axis. If you just keep looking and opening till the sensations arise, then you start a different relationship with those sensations. You aren't caught by them the same way. They inform you in different ways. And it doesn't preclude a mystical ascension as it wereor relationship to the world as a whole. I'll tell you what it does preclude. It precludes a utilitarian perspective. Expand on that iffe you can't use it for anything.
