Is Your First Draft a Shitty First Draft?
Karen: My method is to just get all the words out first and have a first draught of it. Then what i do after thats, you go back in and then try to fix where you see opportunities to make it a little more descriptive or a little more exciting in some way. I was also really struck by the last line of anna's email, where she describes trying to solve the too dry problem as resetting one's relationship to language. And am curious what themost dramatic shift in writing style that you've ever had to make. It is 100 %, going from drafting the book, or working on the book, to writing a script for working.
