The Different Types of Blinding in Human Research

Blinding refers to the fact that you are now in an unknown. So we have single blind studies, which means participants don't know whether they're in the treatment or the control group. In most cases, and in more typically more robust studies, not even the researchers know where the subjects lie. This is called a double blinded study. And I've also heard of a third type called triple blind study; it's just another layer there.
