For acting man, there exists primarily nothing but various degrees of relevance and urgency with regard to his own well being. Action does not deal with physic or metaphysical units which it values in an abstract, academic way. The choice must always be made between definite quantities of means. Some things are considered s and treated as means because the effects they can produce are different.
