The Importance of Leverage and Funding in Charity

Leverage and funding are two kind of jogging words we use to describe how a charity causes other actors to spend their money in a way that they're differently than they would have otherwise. Funding is when you think you might be crowding out other actors from funding that intervention. I think these are important because there's a lot of potential additional value there. If you're causing other actor to spend their funds on something more valuable than the others would have, that should be a good thing. And we think charities should be rewarded for it.
