The Problems With Naming and Shaming in the Financial Action Task Force
With the re-establishment of the gray lists and the black lists, they've moved into kind of naming and shaming. The countries that have been selected to go on the FATF list tend to always be small developing countries who aren't famous for being wealthy. And I kind of think that the whole approach to doing evaluations country by country isn't really telling us at a global level what's going on. Somehow we need to change the evaluation process so that it does a number of things.
