It's all about eliminating noise and isolating important trend ships. I think we're at the point with all the soft ware out there, the very robust charting programms for very low coststhat that's available to us,. We can all really judge what the prevailing trends are. The hard part is to understand when they're reversing and when it's more than just noise. So that's what we really rely upon from the macde s - spread between two expedential moving averages of price. And that that spread is then smoothed by another moving average to get the so called signal line.
