John Stuart Mills: We think of the punishment is sacred. And so you're not allowed to just do what's efficient you have to do what's Holy. In Christianity right the central sacrifice and Christianity is of God giving his son to be sacrificed for all of us. Right. But if the deterrent story is your story then john Stuart Mills worry is a real worryright like maybe we can just deter crime by just randomly killing people to do research, he says.
