My family as a whole is much more open and liberal than like a lot of other Gujarati families around us. I've been able to introduce my parents to the people that I've dated in a way that my friends wouldn't be able to. My dad's family have always been very mixed so a couple of my dad's brothers married British women, my stepmom's Polish and my mom's family too sort of by the sort of noughties or my aunties were starting to bring home British boyfriends and marry into British families. Even though when I was younger I thought would be a struggle it turned out not to be.
