The Importance of Chatting With Smart People

I think it's so valuable to have a chat with people. You're reality testing your ideas and you're getting information you didn't have. And maybe in a few years time, you'll have better developed ideas that are closer to objective reality than you had before. It kind of disappoints me to see people sticking with ideas that are just like part of their identity, even though they might not be well supported by the facts.
