What's the Point of a Public Land Auction?
The idea is to create a system that's more like a Georgia system through a whole city rather than a parcel by parcel system overall. And my understanding is basically public land and you have this license system for each parcel in the public land and then you have this auction where you can auction off basically the rights for it for a year. The licenses, the city would get some direct revenue from the licenses, because that is a source of revenue for the city. But if the land appreciated, then the value of your license would go up correspondingly.
