The Economic Damage of Ukraine's Dam Break

The biggest event so far of this counter-offensive has been the destruction of a major dam in eastern Ukraine. The torrent that was unleashed immediately after the break is estimated at 14,000 cubic meters of water per second. That's six times more than flows over the Niagara Falls apparently. Restoring this is a project of billions of dollars because first of all, you would actually need to get the river under control.
