The Battle Cry for the Market: There Is No Alternative
When interest rates went down to zero, the big battle cry in the market was Tina, there is no alternative. Bond yields were very low. The money market rates were literally zero. So what are you going to do with your money? You're going to put it in something else that earns you nothing. Well, now that's not the case. Cash is going to offer you something like 5% to 5.5%. And while they might not be as attractive as the NQ, the index for the triple Q's is up nearly 40% this year. Remember we stopped 30 last year, but these are giving you a return while you sit around and do nothing.
