Teaching Executive Function to Kids Isn't Easy
Teachers could be working with their own students on some of these things that can help them succeed. The one I'm going to go into the most is the planners. We don't teach kids how to be students and we don't teach them metacognition or reflection or introspection. They really need a lot of direct instruction, not in staying in the box of the system that they're taught.
