The Singularity of Artificial General Intelligence

Most AI researchers think it's going to happen artificial general intelligence within decades. But there are also vocal and prominent AI researchers who think it'll take way longer. So I try to keep a very open mind. To me, the most interesting question is what useful things can I do right now that are going to maximize the chances that this becomes a good thing or not a bad thing.
