The Different Definitions of Accuracy

If we think about our perceptions as being inaccurate with respect to what's actually out there, I think there are different ways it can be inaccurate. One is compression. It's not that useful to see every single molecule. You want to compress it all and say, that's a tiger. That's much more useful. A third way you can be inaccurate to what's out there is by having an experience that doesn't have an objective truth value. So just relying on accuracy and compression, I think, only tells us part of the story.
