Dr Andrew Lee is Assistant Minister for Competition, Charity's Treasury and Employment. Before entering Federal Parliament Dr Lee was a Professor of Economics here at the ANU. He holds a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard and has published widely on social and economic issues. This week asks what makes good policy. How do we decide precisely what social policy aims to achieve whether it's conditional and punitive or inclusive and rights respecting? And how do we know when social policy is achieving its aims?"
