The Cost of Writing on Streaming Platforms
What we're seeing now in the era of streaming is that you have shows that run much fewer episodes. And so that means there's less opportunities to get paid. So writers are saying that basically they have to be searching for work three to four times a year just to make ends meet. The concern is that will a producer, will an exec try to take a six person writer's room down to two with the use of AI or something?
