The Beetle's Interviews With John Lenon
John lennon's interview appeared in detroit magazine in may, and all the full interviews appeared in new york times magazine section in july. These interviews ran in the evening standard with minimal fuss. The biggest complaint the leanen interview got was a letter which paid more attention to how disgraceful it was that lenon didn't want anything to do with his dead beat father than to the comments about christianity. And it seems to have convinced lennon, whose claim that jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me. Might as well be the reader's digest.
